Swimming lessons

Tomorrow is my swimming lesson and I am not looking forward to it. I’m now glad that I’ve been informed of my son’s open evening…. so swimming is off tomorrow πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Last week’s lesson was a disaster (week 8, swim 6). I couldn’t do anything….I was afraid… rooted to a spot for practically the duration of the lesson. Aunty Jamaica was not there…. just me and the family girl … then the other two champion swimmers… I wasn’t feeling it at all…

It dawned on me in the lesson that aunty Jamaica was the courage that I had. She passed on her determination to me during the lesson. Making me forget my own fear of water. Without her, I was lost… afraid and confused.

I’m anxious about my swimming lesson

Keep it up. I too have taken lessons as an adult. To improve on my self taught efforts, so not a complete beginner as yourself. However I've witnessed people with fear as real and as strong as yours end up swimming lengths. #NeverTooLateToLearn

Don’t give up, sis! I learnt swimming as an adult and was just as terrified but it’s absolutely brilliant and I enjoy it so much! The trick is always to relax and let go and you’ll floatπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ˜˜
