Conference attendance with my tooth (fairy) in my pocket

Is it just me, or does everyone else take their tooth home with them once it’s extracted. This sounds so groose I’m sure. Especially to those yet to experience an extraction. I really don’t believe in the tooth fairy. I can assure you that they have never visited me before. But I just like taking my tooth home with me. I’m sure you are asking yourself how many extractions have I had. The simple answer is one to many now……. I’m thinking I inherited this genetic from my dad’s side of the family. He wouldn’t like to hear this, but someone has to take the blame. My mother who died 20 odd years ago, at the age of 45, had strong teeth. I still remember her habit of cracking the bone of her chicken with her teeth. My dad, bless him, just turned 80. I know you can’t really compare the age, but he has just stopped complaining about his teeth, having lost the majority of them now.

I believe I maybe the only one amongst my siblings who may have taken this genetic trait. My brother who is almost a carbon copy of myself, has perfect teeth… I thing. I can’t remember any of my siblings complaining about teeth… neither do I have memory of the tooth fairy visiting them.

I’ve had a toothache for 3 weeks now. The first week when it started, I thought the pain would subside. Well it didn’t. This morning I had the tooth extracted. And here I am sitting in a conference, an hour later, bitting hard on a piece of gauze, with my newly extracted tooth in my pocket…. for the first time, I am truly unable to speak, but listen… I shall also award myself a tooth fairy certificate at the very least… for bravery….

Oh dear! That must have hurt pretty bad; sorry dear😊
Yes, I’ve extracted 4 wisdom teeth and each time, I took them home with me. They’re all still buried somewhere in different hand bags! 😉🤪
